How is the piezo attached on your pictured drums with the mesh heads? Is it glued in between the pink foam or is it glued to a small round piece of flat metal and then sandwiched between the pink foam? There's no way a CDR is in there. Also is that gray triangular thing that touches the mesh head..... foam also? Thanks alot!

the piezo is suspended in foam only, no metal, as long as there isnt more than 1 " of foam between it and head it should work with sufficient head tension. the cdr was used in my hi-hat to spread the sensitive area (glued to piezo). Anything in contact with the mesh head is foam.
