There are two kinds of kinetic art: the one which actually moves (e.g. Calder's installations) and the one that gives the viewer the illusion of movement. Something like this changes depending on the POV of the viewer: if you stride left or right while looking at this piece, you will see movement. Hope this helps.
Yes. The measurements are not correct. The wood plank I've used is 1.5cm*30cm*80cm. Sorry for the mistake. By the way, if you can, take a bigger plank with a dimensional ratio of 1:3 (something like 40*120cm) and use as many stripes as possible. The kinetic effect will be much more enjoyable.
