Thanks for the information. You are probably right. But as I stated in the introduction this solution serves the need of replacing the fuses all the time in a school lab. Also I have seen nowadays multimeters that come out of the box with polyfuse. Finally the specifications of the polyfuse that I have used are lower than the original fuse 200mA instead of 250mA. Of course I wouldn't touch my very expensive multimeter (if I had one).

I flashed it again with different baud rates. It seems that the httpserver-static.lc file is missing from the binary. Uploading the corresponding lua file fixes the problem in the first run. Try it yourself if you have time and upload a binary that includes the httpserver-static.Thank you again
Thanks for the instructable. I cannot flash your included image. I get error Error:Set ESP8266 Address timeout.Can you suggest modules for the custom build prior of uploading the files from bin directory?
I am using the serial port that i use to communicate, the same that the program recognizes and i am using the esp8266flasher that you suggest and i am always using. I can flash nodemcu and micropython with the same method.Thank you for fast reply
I built the nodemcu binary as as you suggested in step 5, dev branch and modules that you refer and flash the integer. After flashing i cannot establish connection with node mcu, i just can see in esplorer at a specific baud rate this.
Finaly managed to flash your complete binary file using espressif flash tool v3.3.6https://espressif.com/en/support/download/other-toolsThank you
