Rifle are always cool, take time to draw it out a nice full sized bit of paper, lay down some of your parts, then draw in the bits you need to make!

I got a Mac a few weeks back, and I must say it is a very satisfactory computer. It feels premium unlike the last few laptops I have used. The built-in Mic was also very good quality.
The only gripe I had was that it didn't come with Lion, and I had to manually upgrade it (at least the upgrade was free though).

I would say: local architecture in black and white… It has to be a (part of a) remarkable building or monument in the town or city you live in (so not the Empire State Building unless you actually live in New York!).
A second idea is to take a photograph of your hand with your favourite tool (black & white?). Please explicitly state that “tool” can’t be a part of your body (cause you want to exclude the jokers! It is a family site after all..) BTW, where do you get all these patches? You need some of mine? (are they transferable?).

Pictures of circuit boards? Pictures of money? Things like that?
something like that, something people can get artistic with 'take a picture of the sunset' would work. Throw a few more ideas my way, then I will pick one and put up the topic.

That looks like a very interesting idea, and something I would like to help with, me and a few others over here in the UK are into such things.
Just a few questions,
What is the idea behind it? Is it meant to teach people piano? Is it supposed to be a way to record piano onto a computer?
Is it supposed to work the other way around, turning a piano into a keyboard for text input?

Very nice idea! I have seen one of these already, reminds me of the knex wreath. I do love these ideas of using knex as decorations, its nice to see something made just for its form and how it looks, opposed to actually 'doing' something!

I just had an idea for a series of geocaches. The theme would be parts to a damaged cyberpunk/steampunk time machine have blown off and scattered about the area. I'm busy fending off time bandits (or what have you) who are attacking the main vessel, and request the help of the cacher to locate each part. Said parts would be embedded halfway up trees, or otherwise treated to look like they had a hard landing.
Being the resident time traveler, I was wondering if you could help think up critical time machine parts and how to build them. Help would be appreciated, I'm no cyberpunk/time machine expert!

Nope, that my friend is an original 1984 macintosh. I have an on going project involved the very same machine. I set it as my avatar when its my main focus!
Do you know of a free program that can run Windows on a MacBook? I'd like to buy TeamFortress 2 and play it with my friends online, but the game doesn't run on a Mac. It would have to be a program that I can turn off and on: I don't want to run Windows all the time, why do you think I got a Mac? :P

I have a bootcamp partition with my games on, and I boot into that for a hardcore session, but vmware fusion will actually take my bootcamp partition and load it as a virtual machine, and I have used that to play games. It can handle running left4dead if I have the graphics all the way down. I doubt virtual box can run it that fast.
Another option that I am yet to try, is crossover for mac, which is based on wine, and claims to run games the fastest, as it does not run windows, just emulates windows to enable playing games.
The last two options cost money, but you can download and try before you buy, which means you have nothing to loose, could try all three, then make a choice.
