Those are such sweet things of you to say, thank you! Poly is definitely more durable, but lacquer is considered to have more luster and give a finer finish and it does. I use poly on most everything, for this I wanted to use lacquer to give it that extra touch of pristine. Lacquered items are considered more expensive and delicate. One thing lacquer is known for is how easily it chips, but if applied well it gives a higher quality shine than any other finish. Beware though, the smell is unbelievably toxic!
