I plan to make it closed with metal sheet and glass/plexi/acryl to keep a warm environment and keep all the smell in and with a ventilation system out of workplace. i placed the x axis motor inside between the rods to make it more balanced. y axis would be 150% more long (i mean build space) if it wouldn't an enclosed design, so bed could travel more between sides as long as bearings let it. approx 900mm instead of 600mm. One plan for aluminium parts, and one for printed parts (yellow). I'll keep posting as i have time, and as soon as my parts are arrived :) btw my motors is http://uk.stepperonline.com/3d-printer-nema-17-ste... but if they are not strong enough somehow i go for some nema 23 size motor like: http://uk.stepperonline.com/nema-23-cnc-stepper-mo...Frame is 30*30*2mm box metal (metal section) welded, just for saving money as i have enough at home. Otherwise alu profiles would be good as well i think.
i design an upscaled version, sill in progress but i would share with u guys for thoughts, etc.
