I'm trying to get an inductive proximity sensor to work on a Duet board, with dc42 firmware, in lieu of an IR probe. The model I have is an LJ12A3-4-Z/BX, with an orange tip from RobotDigg. When I have the brown cable plugged in to my 24v supply, and the black cable plugged in to the ground for the E0 endstop the LED on the sensor functions, but I can't figure out how to wire it so that the board can read the signal. Additionally; I'm quite concerned that the output on the blue cable might fry something. When using an IR probe, it gets plugged in to the 6th expansion pin, counting from the USB side of the Duet.I've tried plugging it in to this, and it seems to only output 1v, but the signal on the Duet web control is not useful.
