We keep our bunnies until they either die of old age, some incurable disease, or they get adopted. One of those said conditions applied to Theodore who was born at the shelter, lived to the ripe old age of 11, got adopted within the past 3 months, then died in his own home. I still miss the little grump...My favorite still is Lily. She's a harlequin bunny who loves to give kisses after you rub her nose gently.
Awww..... my heart is breaking... I just looked at the website. *sigh* We had a very feisty black dwarf bunny that we named Frisky. A total ball of energy that my son and I just loved. Unfortunately, we found he had a seizure disorder and one day out of the blue had one and later died at the vets. I bawled my eyes out driving him home to be buried. We've thought many times about adopting another one, but the wounds are still there. We only had him for a year, but we got very attached. They truly are great pets and have some amazing personalities.
