Fasting works, fasting cuts down insulin production,and so less lipoprotein lipase activity so less fat deposition. Space out meals, ( ie fast) NO snacking ever between meals - water only- but when you do eat, eat healthy ( enough protein) food slowly and enough to satisfy . You will lose weight. the problem with fruit juice fasts are the lack of protein and the constant intake of carbs in the form of juice ( more insulin release).Some obese people are very malnourished because of the constant dieting with only occasional carbs to control their hunger; they lack almost everything else.
