Wonderful! I love the organic, back-to-nature feel of this project. Great creative use of recycled materials. And, you practice what I've always been taught, water sparingly before transplant, water generously after.
I've had cappuchinos by the score in Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria, and this is the first I've ever heard that they don't come with chocolate/cocoa sprinkled on top.
Oh yes, Liquid Nails, brilliant! I hadn't even thought about adhesives, but Liquid Nails and other caulk-type adhesives would be perfect - no need to drill the concrete for anchors, no need to precision-align inserts or such. Excellent video too, thanks for mentioning it.
This is great stuff! Thanks for sharing, I might try something like this. I have a question about securing the countertop to the bench structure - did you use anchor screws or something like that, or does the countertop just sit in place? I suppose one could imbed threaded inserts into the concrete after or during the vibrating phase, or even dowel pins that could be drilled out after, but controlling the finished position of each might be tricky.
