Great project. My vote also. Have you tested printing nylon filament reinforced with carbon fiber? If this works then it is the best alternative to Markforged 3d printer

Unfortunately I live in Europe and it's not easy to find ''exotic'' materials. Anyway bed is moving in the Z axis with 3 8mm leadscrews(i think it's too small maybe updated later). What do you think about an aluminum plate maybe 6065 6mm or 8mm that is anchored on top of H-shaped aluminum bars that kept insulated from the hot aluminum bed with ptfe thin bars or silicone mat? The H-shape of aluminum base will be anchored to the aluminum heated bed with ptfe screws at blind tapped holes on the aluminum bed. I am trying to resist the option of a borosilicate glass with silicone heated mat but maybe it's my last choice. I don't know i am pretty frustrated
Great project congrats. I am in search of a print bed for my printer but the dimensions are 420mmX380mm. Can you suggest a thickness of this cast aluminum that will prevent the bed from bending under heat? Probably the mounts of the bed won't be on the edges but at smaller distance to reduce any possible bending. I am also going to use the 3-point mount as you introduced unlike the 4 or more point mount that most of 3d printer designs.
