    Hello Ira,I have been away from the project for awhile, lately getting back into it. I thought I had overcome the erratic motor problem by shortening and tightly twisting all wires. But still from time time the motors would go wild on their own. I could not ride it for any length of time reliably.I tried changing the code in the MPU library according to fgastald as shown below and I have not had a problem since. I have probably at least 15 hours of accumulated runtime without failure! Although I don't understand the coding, this seems to have cured the problem.See below.Regards,Jon---------------------------------------from fgastald---------------------------fgastaldReply10 months agoFor those who are experiencing some MPU6050 issues (veird behaviour.....motor that suddenly goes to 100%.....) i suggest this :Go to the library file MPU6050_6Axis_MotionApps20.hfind the line0x02, 0x16, 0x02, 0x00, 0x01 // D_0_22 inv_set_fifo_rateModify the last number (0x01) to something higher, i'm using 0x02 right now and it works fine.I'm not an expert but if someone of you has comment to this workaround will be appreciate.
