I LOVED the creativity of this project -- specifically the collage idea. I think its easy for teachers and students to forget that their classrooms are a part of the community and the outside world, not separate from it, and that everyone brings their identities and experiences into the shared space of the classroom. Hanging the collages around the room would be such an effective (and beautiful!) reminder of that, not to mention a great way to decorate your classroom. Thanks for the ideas!
Using flipped classroom to teach ELLs is really interesting, and something I hadn't thought about before! I particularly liked your differentiation approach with three different levels of lecture and practice; a very thorough way to address the needs of individual students in a classroom. I reall liked your project!
I really like how you've used all our class resources to pull together something concrete -- a how-to guide on grading and an example rubric is very helpful. The differentiated rubric was especially cool, and useful in focusing on students as individuals in your classroom. Awesome project!
I really like the techniques you've developed here! They seem like they would really work for ELLs, and I like that you centered it around one unit/focus (poetry) so show the techniques practically implemented. Well done!
