One Sunday P M while visiting my mother I noticed the bathroom vent fan squeaking. She said it had been doing it for a few days.I took the cover off, found all kinds of crud that had to be vacuumed away to find the fan motor shaft dry and squeaking.I did not have my tools but using her kitchen tool box I was able to remove the motor and slide the shaft back and forth enough to smear some Vaseline on it.It is "petroleum jelly" after all.And what is the difference between jelly and grease?I put it all back together and it is still quiet after 3 years.
In addition to the label, hot glue an actual one of the items to the outside.I find this very useful when sending someone who doesn't know the English description.Just give the an example and send them to "Go get some of these."
