Hey, have you considered putting small solar panels on the blinds themselves for power? That way there is no need for unsightly cords, changing batteries, and they could be encapsulated between windows for added insulation.

I have run some tests. It's an option I'm considering further down the road. The cords are almost invisible, so a solar panel would actually increase the visibility of the system.
