I hope to be putting up a second instructable soon. I've yet to get my first kitten. I'm waiting for him to be weaned before moving him in.After that, I'll wait till he's a month or so to move my older cat into the new place; just so the kitten can fend for his own. I should be making my older kitty a cat bed in the near future.
As you probably know, cats have two main sleep positions.Most will sleep either in a ball or spread out.My older one spreads out and I'm assuming the kitten will want to ball up for comfort. For this reason, the second cat bed will be of a different design.
