About:So I'm finally doing the Facebook thing after trashing my My Space profile. We'll see how long this lasts!
I did most of my growing up in Friendswood, then Katy. I wound up being a nurse, seemingly by default (medical family). The thing is, I woke up one day and realized just how much I hated sick bitchy people (and healthy bitchy people) and how much I love bikes so, I quit nursing, moved to Daytona and went to AMI (Wyotech now). I took HD and BMW. There wasn't a cert for HD at the time but I am a certified BMW bike tech.
I REALLY hated Florida. You think people in Houston are bitchy and rude? NO WAY They're all pussycats compared to those folks!
The absolute best thing about being there was the fact that I got to be a corner worker for the Daytona 200. There is NOTHING like the feeling of standing just FEET away from some of the fastest bikes in the world as their thundering past in a near blur! You can feel it in every cell of your body. Damn, gives me goosebumps every time I think about it! Most of those AMA guys are super nice! OK, gotta stop. Otherwise, I'll go on forever!
So anyway, I'm back in Houston for a while since a back injury sidetracked me for a little while. It's all good now though. I'm planning to get back to Austin as soon as I can.
