According to this article https://iphonebyte.com/iphone-battery-life turning off the Push feature and using Fetch instead, do help improve iPhone battery life.I think that information is accurate because, as you have pointed out, Push is instantaneous while Fetch is on demand or scheduled. Push will work all the time so it definitely has an impact on battery life.
