  • How To Repair a Dremel VersaTip's Igniter

    Thanks for the instructable. After opening up the side cover, I tried clicking the trigger and noticed that a spark was being generated but it wasn't coming out at the end of the metal rod but further down closer to where the rod passes through the trigger. I then discovered that the rod was not seated properly within the plastic groove below it, so I pushed it down with my 2mm flathead screwdriver and "voila"—when I depressed the trigger the spark came out at the end of the thin metal rod. After putting it all back together and refilling the tank with butane, I held my breathe, pulled back on the trigger and it lit up instantly!
