I make my own "wood butter by mixing 1 ounce of beeswax and 4 ounces of mineral oil. I heat the mixture to melt the wax in a microwave and pour it into a jar to cool and store. They have never produced a smell.

This is very clever and well made. I'd love to make something like this but I made a conscious decision some time ago to no longer make a permanent, custom designed wood project that accommodates a tech product that only lasts a few years. Beautiful woodworking skills.

I wonder what this would be like if it was made from 1/2" plywood. It would then be lighter to carry and setup. The top is only 2' x 4' so it isn't very big and the strength would not be diminished that much nor probably needed.
