This is also great for audio. A small Bluetooth speaker design will benefit from the sound quality a solid wood case provides. You just inspired me for my next weekend project. Thanks addictedToArduino!!!

Great question until "...the green buttons?" The rest was completed unnecessary, specially "wasted my time"! Thanks for RudyD1 to answer it what was the gray box!.
JoeB95, I've done a similar process to my dead Ryobi 18v battery packs and they work great after. I don't even dismantle the batteries. When opened you find these battery packs have 5 single cells and the bigger ones have 5 pairs. I individually charge each cell / pair with a TP4056 USB charger board. After all cells are charged, I closed the battery pack and use it with my power tools. After this I'm able to continue charging them with the regular Ryobi charger. I've done this to 5 packs now and they have been working ok for the last 8 months. What I'm expecting with my process is that at some moment a cell won't charge. If that happens then I guess that cell is damaged and will need to be replaced.
