you can change the IP adress in your MainActivity in the lineJSONObject json = jsonParser.makeHttpRequest("RaspberryPi_IP/db_create.php", "POST", params);Instead of RaspberryPI_IP, you need to insert the IP adress

  • Raspberry Pi Android App communication

Thank you so much. For everyone with the same problem, I simply entered:sudo chmod -R 755 /var/wwwand then it worked :)

"Unfortunately, Webserver has stopped" is still showing up, then the app crashes. I read all the comments and already did the following:- inserted <uses-permission...../> in the AndroidManifest.xml- changed db_config.php (e.g. define('DB_USER', "myownusername"); // db user)- db-files are in the www directory of the raspberry pi (used FileZilla)- I can reach the webserver via 192.168.X.XX on my Desktop-PC- I put "http://192.168.X.XX/db_create.php" in my App- Raspberry and Desktop-PC use the same Wifi-RouterBUT: when I type "http://192.168.X.XX/db_create.php" in my browser, nothing happens. Is that a server-side problem? Or any other ideas how to fix it?thanks a lot in advance :)

Yes, there are a lot of errors but they seem to be always the same ones. When I hit the "send" Button in my app, I get the following error log:[Wed Apr 06 11:11:23.761876 2016] [:error] [pid 3101] [client 192.168.1.13:60672] PHP Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0[Wed Apr 06 11:11:23.762276 2016] [:error] [pid 3101] [client 192.168.1.13:60672] PHP Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/var/www/db_create.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in Unknown on line 0
