Nice job! Have you thought about converting the VersaPak batteries into a DC power source, powered directly from mains? I know it defeats the purpose of having a cordless set of tools, but it has its benefits: no more running out of battery power in the middle of a job, no more waiting for batteries to recharge, no more replacing old rechargeables, etc. It appears that the only way to make the system work with both 3.6V and 7.2V tools is to have 2 separate transformer/rectifiers. Sounds way too clumsy and not very elegant.

Thanks for the compliment. I don't plan on changing it as I like the lithium conversion and it works better than I thought it would. I understand what your thinking but I do not use the tool for very long and having another set of batteries already charged makes it easy. The rechargables are cheap enough that replacing them wouldn't be a big deal. I've had these batteries for almost 6 months and so far so good. This is a light duty tool that I never thought would last this long. Any have a great holiday!
