Oh wow, really? I was worried about weight too, so I bought a rather high powered leaf blower. (Black and Decker 12 amp, 250 mph, 400 CFM) wondering if I went a little overboard... but that is similar to the one you guys used, yes? just 50 mph higher, so i think it will be ok. also, I was wondering if maybe instead of having the board in the middles with hole around it, you could have the holes for air in the middle with reinforcement strips around it. 0 0 ----\ 0 0 | 0 0 ----/ the strips would be longer than they look in this, and would follow the curve of the hole structure better, but this is the best I could do with the keyboard.
Battery Powered Hovercraft
Ok, so by high power, what does that mean? I'm trying to find substitute leaf blowers so I can do this without spending so much money, and I'm trying to figure out exactly how powerful the ones used in this instructable are so I can find similar or even more powerful ones. I am totally ok with being tethered by a cord if it means I can make this and save some money, lol.

Did you cut the holes? (step 17) If you did, then maybe something was blocking them up so that the air filling up the curtain couldn't escape. Also, if you have suggestions, please tell me, because I am planning to do this for a physics project! Do you think that it would be possible to substitute the lithium leaf blowers for power cord ones? How strong do you think they would have to be????
