iPad Tripod Mount
Looks great! Thanks for posting a picture.
I made mine without an oven. Certain size limitation, don't y' know. So I used a heat gun. No it wasn't easy but I finally got it flat enough to finish the work. I used my band saw where it was easy to use and a scroll saw for the harder cuts including the radii in the corners. I also made a pattern of plywood the same size and shape as the iPad in case I need to do this again.
Very, very nice. Ingenious idea. Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome idea! I can't wait to make one. Thanks!
iPad Audio Director
I made one for my son's phone to mount on his bike. I cut two slits and used a hose clamp to mount it to the handle bars.
This is ingenious. You could theoretically use this to create sheets of plastic for use in a CNC cutting machine to do your templating, and then use the heat gun for shaping thereafter. Seriously brilliant.
