Show the video of it flying and then we can decide if it's what it says it is.
Honest advice: Don't move to Linux if you are going to use commercial softwares like MS Office, Photoshop, etc... There are alternatives but not the exact ones. The only reason to move to or start with Linux is that you don't have any money for Windows and didn't get preinstalled windows with your machine and are a good citizen so don't do piracy. If you do go with Linux, choose Linux Mint and not Ubuntu, it's basically the same thing with common softwares installed.Remember, Linux will give you a lot more power, but with great powers comes great responsibility.
If you want to see real improvement, do two these on any version of Windows.WindowsKey+R -> msconfig -> EnterServices: Check "Hide all Microsoft Services," and disable all the softwares except if you see on that you actually use for e.g. Connectify, Skype etc... Don't worry, if you accidentally turn off something that you might use, you can always revert these settings back.Startup: In newer version of windows you will get another option and then do the same. Disable everything that you don't use, the important programs startup automatically so don't worry about anything going wrong. You can always revert back.Press Okay and then restart. You will see the changes right away. There are many other registry which you can google, or I will make one myself if I get requests.
