  • Mini Lathe Motor Upgrade (three Phase, Brushless DC)

Hi. Thanks for your replies. One more question... (sorry...) Does you circuit support the original feature that you have to switch off the pot before you can change to or from reverse? If so, how? Thanks again.Cheers

  • Mini Lathe Motor Upgrade (three Phase, Brushless DC)

a p.s. to my earlier post - what kind of aluminium pulleys did you use? Would they have a flat belt drive, as there doesn't seem to be too much room for a v-belt? Hopefully I can turn a pair out of ali before my motor dies...Cheers

Hi. Thanks for posting such a useful project! The plastic end-caps on the original motor of my Chester mini-lathe have cracked up and are not long for this world, so I've ordered the parts as per your project and will modify my lathe in the near future (Chinese postal services notwithstanding...) I'm not familiar with model aircraft electronics, some of which appear to be in your design. Do you have a schematic or circuit diagram of the project that you could upload? That would be very helpful. Thanks again for a great set of ideas.Cheers
