I'm back indeed! Editor of Outside and Workshop categories. Running our soon to be released Artist in Residence Program, our already released Sponsorship Program, and of course, spreading the gospel of pizza each and every day. I'm in SF at the Lab 3 days a week with the rest of the team, and then in a brand new shop of my very own in Oakland the rest of the time.
HI Noah! Not sure if you noticed but I was able to get National Geographic to run ads in-front of your videos. take a look. the campaign is ending on Thursday. what is your email address? Lee
I wish you were still here to create more videos - we need to create ones for Ace Hardware.
Noah, Please changes the search thing back to normal. the setup is annoying and less productive. When i search for anything it displays items down the page in an annoying hard to read format. I DARE YOU to make a forum topic asking if members like this. If there is a single solitary member that replies yes, then you win, and you should keep the dumb format. Switch it back to the old one where you can quickly search and fin what you are looking for.
I agree i dont know why they changed it. Because i browse mostly by images it takes a lot longer and you cant easily switch to Instructable only mmode like the search at the top right used to do.
Please change the format or at least set up an admin forum to gather other peoples opinions.
I was wondering about a drumming guide you know, with a bunch of different drumming stuff, drum mods and stuff like that, if you could do it, I would apreciate it very much. Also, if you are going to put it on your list you can put it at the end of it so you can get to your more important guides and stuff, i don't mind if it takes more than a few months because i am making an instructable about drummin' and stuff. Thanks. : )
heeeeeyyyy noah... since you seem to be the master of all guides I've seen a lot of Domo'kun instructable I was thinking that that would be a awesome guide. *ahem* *shamelessly trying to promote my own 'ible* *ahem* oh wow sorry i guess have a bad case of the internet coughs...uhhh... *cough?*
PM me a list of links to the projects that you'd like to see in the guide (at least 10), some text for the intro, and an image that you'd like us to use as the icon, and I'll guide-ify it!
Right now only Instructables Staff are going to be the ones to actually publish and own the guides, so my name is gonna have to be on it as the author, but I'll happily give you credit for all the hard work.
I'm very sorry to bother you with this on your comment board but I wasn't sure where else I could get help (besides a shrink....for you jokers out there). I'm having issues with seeing ibles showing up in all the groups I view and was wondering if you could shed any light on the problem. I have posted about it a few times: here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Here are some images that you may use for the Cardboard guide, feel free to choose a different one if you dont like these, but if you do like one of them, you can use it.
Hey noahw. Are you an admin? Cause' if you are I need help on my Instructable. It has been blocked because it lacked images. Right now it has images, but still the robot admin won't unblock it. Help please. -T-nod
you might make a ductigami guide. you know ductape stuff OTHER than wallets and pencil cases. a good one would be roses by herrozerro found here http://www.instructables.com/id/Duct-Tape-Rose/
hey noahw I regard you as a high authority on instructables if you could look over my instructable and tell me were it could use improvement that would be great. Oh and if you like it please vote. thanks, iamrobot P.S i only have one instructable shouldn't be that hard to find ;)
hey I think I'll turn it into a video but if I do can it still be submitted in the Burning Questions Round 7. Becasue I really think it is good and it can teach people to Learn To Dance. Let me know ASAP.
Hey I was looking at the list for Burning Questions Round 7 and there was one thing I didn't understand. It was the make up tips. Exactly what does it mean make up tips? Please get back to me as soon as possible
Hey noahw! You are awesome! Can you make a guide for BIC pen weaponry? I know there is one already about "Office Weapons", but maybe you could make one with only things that are made with BIC pens such as the BIC nun-chucks, the bow and arrow, and the pen guns! Here are the links for the things i think should be in it: http://www.instructables.com/id/Bic-pen--bow-%26-arrow/
Hey mynameischeese, We've got a long list of guides that we'd like to create. I'll throw this onto the list and we'll see what happens. Thanks for the guide suggestion and the links. You're awesome!
No. Follow the SUBMIT link at the top of every page, and search for "Groups". However, see the recent discussion for some of the shortcomings of the current implementation of Groups at I'bles.
I think a guide for bass would be a good guide. I know theres one for guitars but bass is a whole different subject! Be sure to include mine on the guide *winks*.
I believe you. Sorry I got so hung up about that at the office, I think a spark damaged my brain for a second. I was taken a back because your shirt was really white, and the shirts we had printed up were a cream color. Could be the doing of some powerful laundry detergent, or just my damaged brain again? Or, maybe a bi-product of Alaska? I could see how all the cold and snow would just whiten everything.
me and some people are hosting a modded halo game for instructables people!!!!!!!!!!!!! we were hoping to get help from others in the community, and get alot of attention. we want this to be a big instructables event. *sort of* just a little something for the community. it will be modded and super-extra-special. i was hoping for some help getting attention.
Is it possible to change the rating (as in PG, G, PG-13, WHATEVER) on a blip.tv video? I have a video I wanted to show my teacher, but it's considered rated R, so it's blocked.
You're coming by on Sunday right? Why don't I just leave one out for you. The store is in fact closed down though, so we're not selling shirts online right now. Ed is working on building some alternative methods to get shirts to those who would want to buy them, so look for that coming soon.
Yeah, I'm coming by Sunday. Sorry for the late reply, I'm at Yosemite. Will I have to pay for the shirt, because you just said "leave the shirt out for you", so I'm not sure. If paying, it's still okay, I was just wondering. :P Thanks!
Sorry I was vague about that. We're giving it to you! The shirt is on top of my metal cart in my office. Just tell Eric and Christy that and they'll take care of the rest. Have fun at Yosemite!
By the way, this looks like a different kind of shirt.
I thought you guys had different blue ones, like the one Mitch is wearing in this Instructable. I am not being greedy or begging or nothing, I'm just a little confused.
Hey there Noah! Just wondering, remember how you talked to me about TechShop? Will there be a contest doing with them? They look like a kind of company or something that would be in a contest with Instructables such as the Yo-Yo, LionBrand Yarn, Amazon, etc. Just wondering, thanks! -Michael. [GorillazMiko]
We're working with TechShop to try and get some of their tool how-tos published for Tool Tips Month. It's not really a contest, just a joint effort that will benefit both of us. Sincerely, Noah
IT. WAS. AWESOME. I took pictures, with Eric, Christy, and the wooden Robot! I saw Tim, but didn't get to take pictures. My brother and I each got last years 2007 Halloween shirts from Christy! She also gave me the huge sheets of the Robot stickers, the circle and rectangle ones.
I also got 1 Craft: and 1 Make: book. I want to subscribe, but I don't have money. My parents wouldn't subscribe for me anyways...
Well, I saw the tower, Eric's projects (a lot), the monkey in the cage... he has some weird stuff. And that little blue dinosaur or something that you can sit and bounce on...
It was really fun. I'm putting everything into a slideshow, so it will have all the details and everything.
Have fun at the new place in San Francisco, and I want to see an Instructable on that human generator (whoever is working on it).
Oh yeah, I laser engraved my Flip Video camera and my phone. The words "GorillazMiko" accidentally went onto the SAMSUNG, but it's still awesome.
Hi, In my latest instructable I used the instructables logos you posted here. I hope you don't mind. If you do you/I can remove it. Thanks in advance. Joe
i know how to delete an image from the library, but is there a way to delete multiple images? Because It's gonna be pretty hard to delete 100 pics one by one
hi noahw, i was just wondering if you can delete images from you're library because i find it hard to insert photos onto my instructables from waaaay back...thanks bedbugg2
Hey bedbugg2, Yes there is a way to delete images from your library. It's a bit buried but the following process should do it: Go to your library and click on the image that you want to delete. In the page that opens, click on the "edit" box in the upper left of the screen. Then, on the following page, click on the "delete image" link that appears on the left column of options. Hope this helps, Noah
Thanks! I like the Knexbuilders2 group, and support their work. I played with Linkin' Logs as a child and loved them. It's a bit of an antiquated Knex style technology, but a good time for sure. I still build with legos sometimes even as an adult, so I am totally on board with the process of repurposing Knex, although, I have to say, as soon as I learned how to work with wood and weld with metal my lego usage dropped dramatically.
