I wonder if anyone can help me! I am recording onto pc using Windows 7 and Audacity with a Behringer U-Control UFO202 interface. My sources are reel to reel, DAT and turntable (ie LPs). However, regardless of how low I put the level of the outputs of the tapes and records the input level onto the pc is very high. I have to reduce the input level of Audacity to 0.5 in order to prevent the input levels going into the red. The Behringer also has a volume control, but it seems to be irrelevant. it can be at full volume or at nil - but with no effect.Any ideas? David
How do you do the hook up if you have a Arduino Uno and you are not building the board yourself
Trying to record from a newer record player that does not have a headphone jack, just RCA 1/4 inch. What is the best way to pair that to the headphone jack of a laptop? Also have an an older interface I could go through (Saffire 6). It has a headphone jack. But if I didn't have that, would I just use an adapter? Seems simple enough. I love audacity! It seems the sound quality is better on my recordings when I use this program. I do a little personal stuff using midi, wave and mp3 files and edit them in audacity. They are selling a lot of interfaces for converting records to mp3 & CD, but I actually think this is the better option, at least for now. Thanks, you saved me a few dollars!
Can you tell me the notepad coding for it? I know how to get it without installing... What's the coding???

Nope, that only uses a specific device. I don't want to record a microphone to camera that fell behind my desk 3 years ago, I want to record my computer's output. Fail.
Fail. People who have the device in their inputs don't need a guide, it's right there and obvious. People who don't have that kind of device in their inputs google and find lame pages like this.
No there aren't, nurdee. That's the stupidest comment I've read all day. You just advertised that your tastes are banal, that's all. Specific music videos are one of the hardest things to find on the internet, unless you just listen to popular trash.
Audacity is good at this functions but the user interface is really buggy, like a computer powered by Windows 98. My favorite recording tool is iMoresoft Audio Recorder, which has great UI and powerful functions, you can check the tutorial below: http://www.imoresoft.com/audio-recorder-mac.html
