Convert a battery powered LED lamp to USB power.
I didn't have solder on hand, so I used electrical tape. I also didn't have wire cutters (or strippers), just a pair of regular paper scissors. Fortunately I've had experience stripping wires using just that, so it was easy for me. Now I have an AWESOME addition to my BAtman themed decor at my work desk :D Thank you! Mostly what I needed was which were the positive and negatve wires inside the USB cable. I used the cable from a dead USB keyboard.
Awesome! The cable I chose turned out to be a "charge only" cable, so it was even simpler.Didn't want to remove the battery functionality of the light (actually it's a small Christmas tree!) so I just attached the red and black to the pos/neg battery terminals respectively, and it allowed me to keep the switch. Not a permanent (or professional) job, but it works like a charm!
