Thanks for the Instructable Emills. I had to Google UTP to figure out what it meant but this was useful because I need to fix a few CAT5 cables where the little tabs are broken off the RJ45 connector. From the look of it, I guess the crimping tool is what makes this simple. Is that true?
Thanks for the instructable and I may give this a try just for the fun of it. Just curious though, why the "clean" windows installation? I have a Windows 10 laptop that I've been using for a year. Any reason it wouldn't work?
