Eh.. I use 4K Video Downloader for a long time, for subtitles downloading in particular and can say for sure it has no malware/adware. Install a good antivirus program and check for yourself. There is also a proof on VirusTotal, the last version that was uploaded to the site (4.1) is checked there by quite a number of popular (and not so much) antiviruses:https://www.virustotal.com/en/url/1394f19ca6daddde...The info is relevant - the last time the program was checked 10 hours ago (!).
What video player do you use? There can be problems with playing subtitles in default players (such as Windows Media), as well as with VLC, but I download subtitled videos with 4KVD and play them with Media Classic Player, works like a charm! I recommend trying it out.
