Great one which I will use to make a hoodie for my boy for Christmas. This is also giving me an idea for other characters like Sonic. Question: Will hand-washing only be necessary due to hot glue? I have never used hot glue on regular wearing clothes.
Oh, that is a good question! How is it I never thought about what I was going todo to launder this?? I *think* it would be ok, but honestly, I don't know. The eyes are the only part I'm worried about. The rest of it should be ok.
Been a while since I been on 'ibles, and I'm noticing all the editors for the various sections have their own weekly challenges. Is there a way to see all these weekly challenges at once, a la the Contests page? At the moment It seems like the only way to do it is to check within the forums individually. Just an idea, it might be useful to have a dedicated page that hosts the weekly challenges!
Hi, scoochmaroo! It was AWESOME meeting you yesterday, I had a lot of fun at the Maker Faire! I think the el wire costume (on the back of the business card you gave me) is really cool! Thank you very much for taking the time to be at the Faire. Out of curiosity, how did you get the username "scoochmaroo"? It's a very interesting name. Thanks again, Win Guy
Scooch, thanks so much for the awesome instructables you've thought up. I enjoy looking at them, so much!! And I know you've heard this before, but if you wrote a book, you would be the Jane Austen of DIY, so think about it. :D
As "i like cheese" is removing all of the comments that I have posted on his/her site, I would like to let you know that their dumbledore tutorial is, in fact, not theirs at all. It is mine, and they did not ask permission to use it.
This is my tutorial, and paperfaceparde is my dA account-- not theirs
I've just browsed through the ebook, I think it is an amazing idea. Though I would have used pictures for the index of contents. Keep up the great work, you have by far the best job in the world and your stuff is simply stunning!
I love you scoochmaroo! :) Keep doing what you do best, making things. I love what you do for instructables, and can't be grateful enough for what you do. By the way, I believe I will be trying that el wire costume soon.
Scoochmaroo, you are awesome. Your instructables are so detailed, easy to understand and high quality. I often go to you for craftspiration. Have you ever thought of writing a book? I'd totally buy it :DDDD
Hi! I really love your instructables! Clear explanations, lots of info and stunning photographs. I like your iPad Notebook Safe project but because I live in Mexico I don't know how it is called. Could you please describe the texture or rigidness(sp?) or any other characteristic of the foam? Thanks a lot! and keep it up (: Elvira
Hey Scoochmaroo, would you mind checking out my new Instructable? http://www.instructables.com/id/The-No-Shame-Sandwich-or-The-Triple-Fried-Egg-Ch/ I would appreciate the Master Chef to look at my sandwich.
Flatterer! Looks good, but I would use the first image in the last step as the main image. Add a step between the intro and Step one called Ingredients, and use your ingredients list and image for that, including the text starting from First, before I name the item list. . . Sound good? Is this for the sandwich contest? I think I'm going to work on my entry this week :)
In regards to an iphone again......I was talking with an AT&T salesman and mentioned talking with a person in San Francisco and the poor 4G coverage. He goes on to tell me that ANY cell phone in San Francisco has poor reception due to all the hills.......WHAT? Is there any truth (at all) to this statement? I'm thinking you answer is going to seal my AT&T iphone hopes. Thanks
Wow. I can't believe he could say that to you with a straight face. This is great - this has to become a question in our Answers section. I can't wait to see how the community reacts to that! The problem is there aren't enough towers to cover the usage area. Other carriers don't have this problem nearly as much as ATT. Even Verizon users of the iPhone don't seem to have this problem. So see if you can get Verizon coverage maybe. Otherwise, choose another smartphone is my suggestion. Mine still continues to frustrate me. We should probably post all of this on the original question!
Just need to make a correction... You are correct that iPhone users on Verizon do not have the same problems, because Verizon doesn't have the iPhone. The iPhone only works with AT&T, and to some degree, T-Mobile.
Also, onrust talks about the poor "4G" coverage. Sprint is the only one that has deployed a "4G" solution (WiMax) at this time, but I'm not sure it is in San Francisco. None of the other carriers have deployed 4G yet (which will be LTE).
While I understand the confusion around all of this, if you are going to write an Instructable about this and answer questions as something of an "authority", its important to have your facts straight!
Aha! Good information! It's easy to get these things confused. Luckily I am not going to write an Instructable about it, as I know I am no expert. Sounds like you could though . . . *hint* ;)
Hey scooch, In regards to your long ago question, "Is an iphone worth the cost?", what did you ever decide to do? I asked a question about an iphone and some of the things I'm looking for it to do and I'm not getting the answers I was looking for. Thanks.
I did get one. I don't love it. I feel like AT&T/Apple was ready to dispense their "4G coverage" phone before the country was actually set up for it. So I have this awesome phone which gets NO reception where I work, and takes repeated tapping at the screen to respond to what I want it to do. That said, if I didn't have some kind of phone with a maps feature, I would be completely lost. Google maps on my phone has saved the day more than once. If I had thought to look for that on another phone, I should have. Hindsight!
I am getting married in a few months and have been wondering what sorts of things to have at the reception. I am so happy I found your ice cream, mini-pies, and chocolate ball recipes—I think I might make them for my wedding goodies, and even make the pies as favors for the guests! :D I am also a huge fan of duct tape. I am totally subscribing!
