I grew up with Lego, the quite simple bricks, years before the Lego Technic invasion. I could never imagine the simple bricks could be brought to this level of esthetics, both with shapes and colors.
Thank you for the compliment and for noticing the "simple bricks" haha.
I started my Lego obsession at about the age of 6 with a bucket of bricks that included a few sloped bricks, windows, doors, and other house building elements but for the most part it was just basic bricks. Though my collection now includes a lot of specialize parts and even a bit of Technic, I still prefer the basic bricks that are so iconic.
When searching for user-made LEGO instructions earlier in life, I became frustrated when I saw awesome creations that required too many specialized parts. Because of this I try to post projects that most people would be able to make with the bricks they have on hand. There is so much that can be done with basic bricks and while the newer stuff like Technic can offer more possibilities, I like to keep weird elements to a minimum and let the traditional LEGO pieces be the star.
