13 Unusual Uses for a Hair Dryer
heat guns are LEVELS of magnitude hotter than hair dryers. You can easily melt and ruin things accidentally that a little more time and a lot less heat wouldn't have.If you can do it with a hair dryer (and it isn't embossing! That's a pain with a hair dryer!) use the dryer and don't risk ruining your project. (And things around it like paint, enamel, varnish, plastics, etc...ask me how I know!)
me too! 1 in the bathroom, 1 in the bedroom = warm tootsies!
I have used mine to help peel off the original shipping labels on boxes and reuse them to save costs and waste! And if I can't quite get the label off, many are thermal printed and I can black out the label with the heat from the blow dryer
I use the cool shot setting on mine and it dries them incredibly quick!
this would be wonderful for holding my fountain pen collection with all it's accoutrements and ink, etc with the addition of lining the drawers with the cut to fit insert they have that has grooves for each pen to sit in. Too bad I don't own any woodworking tools!
you might try using an edge rounder from the craft store to round th edges rather than a scissors. They look like a little stapler and work like a hole punch. You just stick the edge in the mouth, press down on the button and voila! Perfectly rounded corners. They get a lot of use on pictures, especially the wallet senior pictures. But, then again this is just a cosmetic step. A company I order from frequently throws in a bookmark and sticker with every order and their stickers are square edged. Depends on your preference.
