Portable Wireless MAME Controller
tanglewoodcourt, have you made progress on your project? I'm planning to do this, too, and was wondering about the COM connection to the battery. Are all of the controls (joystick, buttons) ganged to the COM connection? Also the keyboard? And, I think I'll try to use a rechargeable cell phone battery for the power so I can recharge it with a simple USB cable. One more thing, check out the Plano 23731-01 box. It's cheaper and appears to be the same size.
I was trying to make a variation of you wonderful project here but wounder about the wiring. Why do you have 2 battery packs? Do you need the switch since it appears the keyboard shuts off by itself off without use? The keyboard obviously needs power for blutooth so when you solder you can't short the pcb button outer ring to the inner dot, correct? I assume the center is the +pos you run to NO on Happ switch and you then run the Happ COM switch to the battery ground? Most of my questions could probabily be answered with a couple good close up pictures. Thanks for the cool project and any help.
