Interesting, I wonder if I give the dog the beer.
Yay back at ya!
That would be fun!
Thanks. Yes, depending on what you do, you can get a 3d effect. It's something I have been meaning to do, but have so any projects on the go already.
I built some solar slug fences with cheap solar lights a few years back, they normally died within a few months due to the poor component quality. What I did discover is that slugs & snails can learn to avoid the fence by bridging across the wires. They are surprisingly persistent, going around the whole fence testing for weakness like mini slimy velociraptors trying to break out of Jurasic park. The other thing they did was that one would sacrifice itself across the fence, drain the battery and the others could cross in a raiding party.
The larger the distance between the mirrors, the larger the distance between the reflections. The leds should be centred between the mirrors, otherwise it changes the effect. The distance I used was approx 40mm or 1 3/4". Thanks.
I see. Thanks.
Thanks, Yes, it's easy enough to use ws2812B (or similiar) leds, Arduino and the fastled library to make an animated version.
Sorry, I do not understand your question.
You can still buy rough service incandescent bulbs easily enough in the UK, not that it makes much difference when your breaking them anyway ;-)

Removing the rubber covers helps, add more weight to the ends, but the best way of increasing the spin time is to use full ceramic bearings. I made one with a full ceramic bearing and it spins for two minutes, so long in fact thats it's actually boring, so careful what you wish for!
