My bad, two pins from each way would produce nine tenticles. Think of the four lines on tic tac toe in a circle.

More than eight tenticles looks a little jellyfishish to me.For the sake of comity, I offer a compromise. Three pins from each way would produce nine jullienne tenticles. The middle one could be surgically removed in order to splay the eight tenticles.Square cross section tenticles seem a little Minecraftish to me, but on a real robot octopus suckers on three or four of the sides might be cool.

You mentioned wiener-less octopi problems, this is from softpediadotcom -"The octopus' penis, made by the male's third arm on the right, is called hectocotylus and is detachable. Mating can last two hours for several times, and the male introduces the hectocotylus into the gills' cavity where it deposes the spermatophores (pouches filled with millions of sperm cells), but the partners keep the distance. Partners recognize each other through smell and touch. During the mating, the male loses its hectocotylus, but till the next season, he will regenerate a new one." I can't picture that myself, but apparently being wiener-less is a regular thing.Go the softpedia page, there's some amazing information about octopi.

Not exactly. More like this with four pins, less to wash!

What's more important than wiener octopi making gadgets is the subconscious thought process that goes on while watching sit-coms or pursuing more important things. The subconscious accounts for about 90% of the brain's activity were the real thinking, problem solving & "breakthroughs" come from. A half hour may not be enough so it might keep working into the next show and after you go to bed. Those sit-coms just give your brain time to "think on it's own". It's like telling the kids to watch cartoons "while mommy works".Four crossed sewing needles through evenly spaced holes would cut eight tentacles. • Homemade Wooden Watch (From Scratch)

Your watch looks great! I don't wear watches, but I want to thank you. You inspired me to go on Tinkercad and design links for a bracelet or watchband for my friends daughter.Today I printed it in Glow in the Dark PLA on the Makerbot 2 at my local library. My links are longer with holes spaced farther apart, but that gave me more length for the amount of print time, (2 hours for 45 pieces). This will also allow me to design sprockets and put teeth on the flat side of the links in order to make it a track for a toy vehicle or robot. I sized the holes to fit 1.75mm PLA filament pins and then mushroomed the ends with a butane lighter.

We were in college it was fall, or spring. Two inexpensive bags gave us versatility and cost less than two different rated bags. Ussually the second bag was padding and insulation from the ground, but it saved more than a few trips that started out moderate and dropped below freezing.

No heaters at camp Ronfinke, we always had two rectangular sleeping bags per person. In cold weather we put one inside the other with the zippers reversed. This allows you to telescope them longer and bring the bag over your head and for xtra foot room. In warmer weather we slept in one on top of the other for padding.

Nice piece. I wanta try making a length of that type of band.Suggestion, if you use a scraper with the profile of a link to make a stick with that cross section along it's length, you could cut the links from it. Drill the holes before you cut each link. Depending on the wood species, it might be good to pay attention to the direction of the grain.

    Live edge river coffee table

And a waterfall into a lake at one end!

Great idea, great craftsmanship, great Instructable and a beautiful table. For those less skilled, like me, how about foregoing the glass cutting & rabbet and just use the rectangular glass as a top? When I first saw the title and glanced at the photo, I thought there was water flowing in the "river". You could have guppies in it :)
