great design.though, i think the last longer nut on the bottom of the handle could use something wider on the bottom so the handle doesnt slip out of your hand when you use it. it may be "ok" or something now, but there's always that potential of it sliding out. maybe a mirror image of the washer/nut assembly at the top without the loop the chain attaches to?
Easy DIY Downdraft / Sanding Table
oh my god.i've been working a dust collection system in my head for months. MONTHS. i have a shop vac, but i dont think it'll have much suction power throughout my entire garage (i even have a second one that i havent tested, but still dont believe both will work)so i was at a total loss. but then i read this and i saw you used a blower! a blower! i have one that also vacuums debris but never even used that feature. so, thanks to you and this instructable i TOTALLY know that i have to get a second blower for this. thank you. im voting for you now and favoriting this instructable.
you could always brush a few coats fiberglass resin on it (no need for the fiberglass mat) and fill the exposed corrugated edges with bondo; then paint it. it would make it sturdier and not look like it's made out of cardboard.

i've been off and on looking at some metal work projects and i see a lot of gauntlets and knives, but no one says anything about their armor actually "working".have you hit this armor with anything or is it just for looks?
that would be awesome. the reason why i asked is i liked that your bottle cap scales looked better than just hammering them flat. i figure if im going to go through the trouble of making something that would take this much time it should look good as well as be functional.

certainly, we used 4 outlets, no USB. these were as function over form as it could get. the great thing about these too, is if you unscrew the face plate you can mount them to anything you want, then screw the face plate back on, making them also anywhere outlets.
fun little story,8 years ago i worked for a television news studio set construction company (basically built the background of the anchors/weather people and the desks). MY job was to do the electrical work and lighting. i created hundreds of these things for quite a few news stations. they are incredibly simple to make and having a few on hand is super useful; i even grabbed one on my way out when i was laid off and have used it in every home shop i've had since. i've been debating making a couple more for my garage.i used 12' of chord and my boxes were the all steel parts though. that little extra bit with the chord is just enough that it's very useful.
Lubricate Metal and Inhibit Rust With Moly.
i'm looking forward to it. the top of it was similar to saw horses that were in the industrial shop i used to work in and i like the design which is what caught my eye; but yours takes it to a whole new level and gets more use out of it than resting material on it and i really like that.which is what i am looking for; i need to be able to use a saw horse for more than that due to not having a space to store them (even those that fold).

i've never heard about using a sugar/salt/water solution, just using salt. i actually like using the three ingredients better. i've used salt and even just mustard but i was never fully happy with the result.i cant wait to give this a try.

i wish my wife would wash all of her clothes so i wouldnt have to keep buying hampers to dump her dirty ones into because she keeps them in piles in our bedroom.there's no helping this situation. i've tried talking to her about it. i've tried washing her clothes for her. i've put them in new hampers. i dont even know where one of the hampers i bought is right now (and it was bought so i could take clothes from the dryer to fold).
how is this an instructable?
Oak Bluetooth Speaker
it may already be easy to lug around, but a handle from whatever's left of those pants in the middle of the sand bag could help out.when i worked in corporate theater we used sandbags all the time and they had a handle built from their material (probably even nylon instead of denim) sewn in between the two bags. i'm definitely stealing this idea for my workshop.

it's not in the first step - it's above it.it answers my second question, but not the first.
is the paint smooth or is it bumpy to the touch?im not following something because the images explaining this are not your skateboard deck - are you dipping the deck and then pulling it up with the painted end facing up to grab the most amount of paint or are you submerging face down and it retaining the paint pattern that way? wouldnt it wash away if it the intended painting side facing down?im interested in this application for a potential project. thanks for your help.

oh, you must have missed the part where i said i would argue your definition of optimum, which was heavily (i guess) explained your reasoning for using a poor choice of the important part of a hamburger.frankly, it explains negative votes in your polls.
i kind of stopped reading at "boxed frozen burger patty" section. i would argue we have different definitions of "optimum". it takes no more time dumping salt, pepper, a1 into a bowl of ground beef and mixing it up and making patties than it does cutting an avocado, tomato, and an onion.
