I love your How To Get Started In Amateur Astronomy instructable. I downloaded Stellarium yesterday, and its awesome. Whenever its clear, (Buffalo sucks) I'll use it. Anyway, I'm just wondering, are you familiar w/ the Meade LX50 telescope? My dad has one, and I want to hook it up to the north star and navigate, etc. but idk if i have the right parts. Thanks.

Keep up the good work!
I don't know much about "Go To" scopes like that, I've not had the opportunity to use one much (incidentally, I'd really appreciate a vote in the space contest, the prize is a go to scope). Looking into it a bit, I see it's a Schmidt-Cassegrain type, which I've been told is the top of the line in personal small telescopes.  I'm guessing you've got a winner on your hands!

Here's a link to Meade's instruction manual for the LX50.  Good luck!  Let me know how it goes if/when you get it up and running!
