The head is just like the ones you can buy - 12x12". The helmet is 14x14" and resembles the dimensions of the game.

When you print the .pdf files - the head measures 12" and the helmet is 14".
DIY Minecraft Costume
I am again sorry for the confusion. The top (fold) is referring the top of the helmet. Those pieces do overlap. Top half 1/2 is the tip of shoulders. I hope this helps!
