About:I am an Engineering Technician with 15 years as a glorified government drafter. Another 5 years was spent drawing/programing for a company that had CNC machines. I taught AutoCAD at the local community college. I am now freelancing.
My first CAD drawing was using Medusa on a Tektronics cathode ray tube. It was a troll living under a bridge. My last drawing was with Alibre and it was a frame and panel front desk for a New York apartment building.
My husband, a Mechanical Engineer, has been a woodworker most of his life.
Hello, and welcome to Instructables! I have realized that you did not receive a greeting from ewilhelm (Eric) or the Instructables Robot, so here you go! I do NOT work for Instructables, but I give out greetings once in a while and help people on Instructables.
Welcome again, and just have fun here.
If you have any questions, you can contact the Instructables staff, or me. If you do not know who they are, you can check them out here. Just click on one of the accounts at the link I just gave you (somebody in the Instructables Team/ Interns/ Advisors) and ask them in a private message or comment. You can click here for a guided tour of Instructables, or click here for an Instructable about how to make your own Instructable. You can ask me about anything on this website, how to change your profile avatar icon, posting Instructables, anything! I'll be here for you.
Have fun, I hope to see some stuff from you! -GorillazMiko
Hi...just wanted to thank you personally for posting the tutorials about Alibre Express. Even though I've been into woodworking since the early 80's, I just recently downloaded the program and am trying to learn how to use it. Have done a couple of your tutorials and the first 2 that came with the program (really wish that they would have included some very basic tuts)...and am having a lot of fun with it. Hopeful (someday) to become proficent enough to actually design something worth actually building. Thanks again and keep those tutorials coming!
