Introduction: Sugru Universal Cord Bendable

Hello! this is my first instructables. This is an idea i had when I saw one of those gumby toys from forever ago. I realized something like this could easily hold cords. It could hold cords to tables, keep your earbuds tangle free, even act as a rubberband to hold papers rolled up. While still being reusable, durable, and low profile. These are very easy to make so you can mass produce them for Christmas gifts when you run out of ideas.

Step 1: Supplies and Tools

This project needs very few supplies and is easy to do.
SUPPLIES:
• mechanics wire (or thin, durable, easily bent wire)
• 1 packet of sugru, any color
• a disposable cup

TOOLS:
• wire cutters
• your hands
• whatever device your reading this instructables on

Step 2: Cut a Length of Wire

First cut a small length of wire. The length is up to you, the shorter the length of wire, the smaller the bendable will be. The longest you should make it is about 7 inches. If you go over that you will need more than 1 pack of sugru.

Step 3: Bend the Wire Into the Desired Shape

First bend the two sides of the wire leaving a space in the middle a little less than half the length of the two bent sides. Then fold the two bent sides over itself so it makes an H shape.

Step 4: Cover in Sugru

Now, follow the instructions on the sugru packet to remove the sugru from the packet and kneed it. Then roll the sugru thin so you have a line of sugru. then form it around the wire. Make sure you have plenty of sugru around the wire to prevent the wire from ripping through the sugru.

Step 5: Leave the Sugru to Dry

To stop anything from sticking to the sugru I put the H. on the edges of the flipped over cup so it doesn't touch much. Now just give the sugru a long time to dry and your done.

Step 6: Your Done!

Now do whatever you want with your sugru bendable. I also found out you can use this to store two separate cords like my phone charger and headphones.
