741 Photovore? Answered

Does anyone know of a photovore made with some Cds Cells (light dependent Resistors) and a 741 Op-Amp? I have been looking for one, but have been unable to find them.

A photovore is a small robot that goes towards the britest spots ( look up Lm386 Herbie)

Do you understand how the operational amp (741) works?

The output is proportional to the DIFFERENCE between the inputs.

Therefore if you connect your LDR's to the inputs and make sure they have a narrow field of view by putting them in a tube, then the output will reflect the respective amount of light falling on each detector.

I suggest a bread board a hand full of resistors and some experimentation is called for here.

Note the 741 supply should be +/-
