I had an idea to offer a wedding registry with RAISED signatures surrounding a pvc framed picture of the bride and groom. I wanted to give the frame a tactile feel by raising the signatures. I tried the idea out with a 40W Co2 laser but all I got were the engraved, carved-in sunken texture of that t...

Is there any way you know what the text actually says in the grail diary where it shows the picture of a knight walking over the chasm? Its the part in the Last Crusade where Indiana Jones says "only by a leap from the Lion's head will he prove his worth." and in the film it shows the diary pic bu...

This probably isn't a big issue, but for step 10 if you are going to use wood glue it would be a good idea to scrape off the paint where the glue is going to go, because wood glue sticks better to wood than paint.

I wanted to make a general purpose VR gamepad using Arduino and I thought that if I made a Bluetooth mouse using an HID module then I could get it to press a specific coordinate when a button was pressed. I run into the problem, though, of multiple button presses. The best solution I could come up with was to have it quickly switch between the coordinates but then I can't have it hold down the buttons. How do commercial Bluetooth gamepads work and how could I replicate this using Arduino?

If you could, please upload the actual template file and not just an image. I really like this amiibo key chain idea, but I am absolutely horrible at making actual designs myself. However, with a proper template file, which I presume you have used to make these, I'd be able to switch out the images ...

My "Discussions" tab showed no changes for about two months, and then yesterday it dumped about two months of replies that people had made on my various comments I made on the forums here. I think that qualifies as a bug. I mean, ideally my "Discussions" tab would notifiy me of replies in a matter of hours, so I could reply to those replies in a timely fashion, if it was the sort of thing where someone was expecting a reply from me.I am guessing this problem was maybe related to the recent big "improvements" to the site, to make it more readable for mobile lusers, and other changes to make the site more comment-able, question-able, tip-able, by everyone.Just wondering: Has anyone else experienced this same problem, i.e. a several weeks, or months, delay in notifications of replies to your comments?

Hi, I tried to compensate the effect of humidity and temperature by measuring them with a DHT22. In principle I was successful, but then I did a trial with CO (a candle in a closed box). For my surprise the DHT22 is not only sensitive for humidity, but for CO, too. As the reaction time of the DHT22 ...

I'm more asking for a direction to go rather than a specific problem. I've followed all the steps, tested with multiple media (wood, pressboard, acrylic), tested on multiple lasers with rotating settings - even on a CNC machine - and all I get is variations of pink noise. My needle stays in the gr...
Hey everyone,I'm trying to take an audio signal from an optical fibre cable pass it through a DAC0800LCN IC, 8BIT DAC chip and input into the Arduino. I'm trying to use a 3 pin fiber optica toslink transmitter to connect the fibre optical cable to the DAC chip. Does anyone know how to set this up or even if this would work? If anyone could answer this is would be much appreciated.

You could get full resolution (and a number of other effects) by using a 2-3" monitor instead of an LED ring. Set up the code to display the "hands" of the clock against a black background, giving the same effect as the LED ring. I guess it would take away the minimalist aspect, though.
