That happens to be most of the time and hats off to those who are willing to share their embarassing stories with others. As one of the entries says: "We tried. We really did." Hi! Anybody out there can give me an idea how to construct something of this nature for a wall inside my shop. I run a hair shop for young people. I am short on budget but I need something that can create some drama or 'wows'. Any suggestions? - Laurie

Hi. In crafts, I use cedar twigs with the needles attached and do not want to undergo the 5-6 wk process of preserving them with glycerine. Right now, they are spray painted/polyurethaned. Have tried glue and hair spray as well. When these die...they become brittle and shatter at a touch. I want something clear as I will continue with the spray paint but need it to keep the needles in place, even if broken. Any ideas? Please email email@example.com. Thank you thank you thank you. : ) Stephanie

I have an old imac that is pretty useless as a computer, I don't want to throw it away. What parts are safe for kids to play with? (i mean no hazardous materials) to play with if any? Any dangerous pieces when I do take it apart?
I'm new to instructables and just getting the hang of things. I'm not sure I really get the difference between what should go on the forum and what should be posed as a question. Here's my forum post, but after I did it I thought it maybe should have been a question... Thanks https://www.instructables.com/community/Christmas-2009-inspiration/

They market the stuff for installing around playground equipment. It's shredded tires. I got a load free. I plan to use some for backfill in a spot which was very rough to dig out. But I'll have leftovers. Can I vulcanize it into solid rubber? How? Mix with concrete to make it lightweight? Or will thermal changes cause rubber to expand /contract too much? What else could be done w/ it?

Hello everybody, I was surfing the internet and I came across this beautiful idea! http://crapisgood.com/2011/11/the-animated-gif-exhibition-2/ There used to be a DIY tutorial on the website, but it's now gone, and I would love to make a gift looking like this to a friend, but I'm not very good in mechanics or electronics. Would any of you be able to explain me what I need to make something like this? Thanks a lot in advance!

We got a school festival coming up traditions, and I was charged with the duty of makying a roasted pig over an open fire. Not really, just a model. I really couldn't find a name for it, so I'll ask here. It's a pig. With a stick through it. Over fire. Then you eet it. So far, I was thinking either just make a basic shape and fill it with newspapers, or use a few bottles. Any ideas? (Sorry if the pic is inapropiate)

I have been searching online for about an hour and I can't find a website that will teach you the basics of leather working, and how to make things outta leather. All I'm finding are leather suppliers, online stores to buy leather and leather items, and I don't need any of that. So if anyone knows of a website that shows you how to's and stuff with leather, please let me know!

Craftershock.com is celebrating their one year anniversary! To commemorate, they've compiled a list of their 10 top most popular posts, some of which you've seen right here on instructables! I'm in love with numbers 9 and 1, paper flower table settings and cuteness-overload: cameras inside of cameras! Plus did you see that cactus pin cushion? A-dorable.Sadly, a lot of what you'll see on craftershock isn't available in tutorial format. But the creators have been gracious enough to post at least one instructable! Check out Loco for Gocco, which made number 4 on their favorites list, and encourage them to post more!
