Need help with changing arduino code for more servos Answered

This code makes a continuous rotation servo motor turn on and run until you let go of the button. I need to change this sketch so that there are 3 buttons, instead of 1, and if I press 1, a continuous rotation servo would turn for each button until I let go of the button. #include Servo myServo; int servoPin = 2; int buttonPin = 7; int buttonState = 0; void setup() {   // put your setup code here, to run once: pinMode(buttonPin, INPUT); myServo.attach(servoPin); } void loop() {   // put your main code here, to run repeatedly: buttonState = digitalRead(buttonPin); if (buttonState == HIGH) {   myServo.write(0); }else{   myServo.write(90); } delay(15); }

Servo Mod help

Hi Every one thanks for looking at my post. I have a specific project where I need 8 servos which would need to rotate up to 360 degrees. Please note I do not need continuous rotation mod, which would make me loose servo angle control. Given that i ended up with 3 options 1. Buy a winch or sail servo - these are costly about $40 and not sure if they suite my need. 2. Add an additional gear with 1:2 or 2:1 ratio (not sure about the terminology) of the main servo gear ( attached to pot); Servo rotates about 230 degrees now, so limiting it to 180 degrees from code and with the additional gear and modification I can get a 360 rotation on the added gear and use that as my main servo drive. 3. Replace current potentiometer with a multi-turn one ( available for around $2) with similar resistance value, this along with the potentiometer gear stop peg removal would give more than 360 degree rotation. Servo control would not be effected as resistance value is same and angle must be limited from code to keep the potentiometer from going to the end limits. I am just preparing and calculating the current gear values to decide on the specs needs for the gear mod. I need to measure servo pot values to find a suitable multi-turn pot. I would really appreciate if any one could comment on my approach and any alternatives. I wish some one had tried these before and could share their experience. Thanks Satya

I'm looking for a high volume, small size air compressor but I can't find a good one. What do you guys recommend? Answered

I need an air compressor that has an EXTREMELY high CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) rating. It is for an air-powered exoskeleton (crazy idea, I know). It needs to be pretty small, backpack sized if possible, It doesn't need that big of an air chamber (fire-extinguisher sized). Continuous run is a must. Powering it shouldn't be a problem because I will be carrying ~ 30 pounds of Li-ion batteries for running the compressor. I also won't be needing more then ~ 100PSI. Weight is an almost non issue, I wouldn't mind a 20 pound compressor, I'll probably remove the frame anyway, so that will take away some weight.

continuity between 3.33v and gnd on atx psu?

Im converting my atx into a bench psu. I was checking the continuity between 5v and gnd that i connected to the LTC3780 and i got a beep (one short beep). So i checked the rest of the lines and 5v and 12v also 1 short beep. However on the 3.3v. i get  a long continuous beep. Is this behaviour to be expected?  thank you in advance.

Can you control a continuous servo with an RC radio, by plugging it directly into the receiver?

Can you control a continuous servo with an RC radio, by plugging it directly into the receiver? Using a flysky fs-i6 transmitter and 6 channel receiver. When I plug-in a regular servo (blue one) and a continuous servo (orange one), the regular one runs perfectly. But I get no movement from the continuous Servo. To make the continuous servo run with an RC radio, do I need to run it through an Arduino or something else to change the signal type? (I would be using a set of continuous servos for something like a tank tracks. ) Thanks!

No continuous rotation? Answered

Probably very basic question. I order the parallax continuous rotation motor. When I plug 4 x 1.5v battery, it make only a small rotation then stop. About 10 degree rotation. I think it can be the volts total but I then plug another 1.5 volt, same result. Someone can help me ? Not : My motor have 3 wire, black, red and white

inflating and deflating a air bladder continuously?

I am interested in a project however what i need to do is to inflate and deflate a air bladder repeatedly on a continuous cycle (so inflation and the deflation). This making me think of a piston style pump hooked up to a motor which I can control through use of a variable resistor. Is there any piston style pump i can use or is there a alternative which would be better. (I do have a budget of around 70usd)

Can I build an Electric motor that can self recharge it own power source? Continual self charging battery powered motor.

I just wondered, If you could take an electric motor like the ones that they use in the electric cars and motor bikes and by adding a generator/alternator ,or turbine to recharge your batteries as it is running. Like making an electric continual self charging battery powered motor.

I need to make an electromagnet that continues to turn on and off (on 20 seconds off 45 seconds)

Hello, I am trying to make an electromagnet that turns on and off on an interval. On for 20 seconds off for 45 second. It would continue to turn on and off until the power is turned off. Any and all suggestions as to how to make (or buy) this would be great! I am making this for an art piece.. I am a glass artist so I am not well versed in any of this electrical engineering Thanks! Transformer not behaving...

I hope someone here can help.  I have a AC to AC step down Unrectified transformer, i.e., no circuit board whatsoever.  Primary winding has continuity, secondary wire has continuity.  No continuity between primary and secondary wires in any way.  In short, power goes in, but no voltage comes out.  If someone that knows precisely how transformers work can explain to me how a magnetic field can be generated but no electricity generated on the 2ndary wire I would appreciate it.

Continue the story!

A few days ago, in registration, our form tutor decided to play a game! She gave us an opening phrase, and we had to say a word each going one after another! so I decided to do this here.RULESYou are only allowed to say one word, and may not reply to your own posts. You can reply to an opening, or make a new 1st opening. That's it!So the starting phrase is...One day, my friend Jim and I...Have fun, and I hope we get some interesting results! The Jamalam

TAR v1

This is my TAR v1, or, Trauts Assault Rifle v1. If I do continue making knex stuff, i'll hopefully continue this series of assault rifles. This was made last night mostly for the tvikt tournament. I took TheDunkis shell ejection system, slightly modded it, and basically added a good strong structure and nice trigger.
