Some people have ways of getting through to your comments even if they are hidden. I'm asking if there is a code that will completely hide and it won't be seen even if people use that view-no style trick or any other tricks.

I used to use SnipUrl.com to circumvent Myspace's PP block, but now it doesn't work. Project Playlist has a tutorial on how to send the playlist to Myspace, but that doesn't work either.

We are Names Fade, an unsigned band, and we are just starting out. We've covered several songs, and those are some of our biggest hits. We are wondering if it is legal to post this song on our myspace music page.

Some sites use software to analyze the information that we search for. A downside to this personalization is the amount of information that it is left out. Any opinions?

Ok, so I want to message my favorite singer on Myspace. I want his autograph so I am going to ask him if I can message him me address to receive an autograph. But I fear one thing, what if it is not the singer? What if it is some creep who will stalk me and murder me? I want his autograph but I do not want to get killed. Is there any way to tell if this guy is the real deal?

Abney Park comes from an era that never was, but one that we wish had been. An era where airships waged war in the skies, and corsets and cummerbunds were proper adventuring attire. They've picked up their bad musical habits, scoundrelous musicians, and anachronistically hybridized instruments from dozens of locations and eras that they have visited in their travels and thrown them into one riotous dervish of a performance. Expect clockwork guitars, belly dancers, flintlock bassists, middleastern percussion, violent violin, and Tesla powered keyboards blazing in a post- apocalyptic, swashbuckling, Steampunk musical mayhem. - quote from they're myspace page Band WebsiteBand Myspace

Anyways I ran into one of my highschool friends on myspace. We dated once in college, we both went to two different schools, (6 years ago) and pretty much went our separate ways. Anyways i asked her out on a date to the movies on 13 FEB and she said sure. My question is I can get chocolate real cheep from work (at cost) should I give her a box of chocolate or will that be too romantic. Valentines day is on the 14th and I dont want to be too romantic, incase she turned into a psycho. What would be an appropriate gift (if any) to give someone that you havent seen in 6 years.?

I need the Instructables/MAKE community help with a class project. "To develop a persuasive argument in response to this question: "Are virtual communities, real communities?"" I decided to pick Instructables community, being that it is mostly online, making it a plausible virtual community. This community is also very open minded and sophisticated, and have no doubt that I will get plenty of input and good arguments. I hope can accomplish this and not sidetracked by all of the cool stuff the is always on the front page. So let the posting begin! Funny note, someone in my group picked myspace under the same prompt, that is going to be funny ass to see how that pans out.

It's a random thing to ask, but since this is done easily online, I thought I'd give it a shot. ;)The survey is over workplace health and very very quick. (10 questions.) My team and I are designing a corporate health program so we need some initial feedback to tell us how people feel about it. 100 people is the limit for the survey and I'm hoping to max that out. Thanks to anyone who helps out! :D(And terribly sorry if I've friend-ed you on myspace and facebook, you'll probably see this again!) http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=zSMWFXvAtWGoxze4TICeAw_3d_3d

I'm just sort of curious about this one. I want to stalk all of you! (Kidding. Maybe.) I've been on IGN.com, specifically the IGN boards for almost 7 years, though the last few I've stopped posting as much since I stopped modding. I also participate on alternet.org occasionally. I joined chow.com yesterday because it looked neat. I'm also on myspace because it's an easy way to keep up with my family. Oh, and I was an avid Stumbler for over a year! I think this has become my primary online community now, though. Mostly because I feel like I can come and go as I please and still be able to catch up. :D

I'm registered on Tekken.com/tournament, an official site promoting the upcoming fighting game for PS3 and 360, Tekken 6. Every week the site pits two characters against each other and in order to vote for one, you need to share a video trailer link with your friends. Whether it be through IM or myspace, anything will work as long as they click it. Every different friend who clicks your link counts as a point towards your account. Get enough "shares" and you'll be able to download exclusive wallpaper, character PDFs, etc. So i was wondering how these sites work, if there are ways to boost or speed up the process of getting "clicks". Any help would be great.

It's been nearly ten years since a load of people got excited about the year 2000 and the 21st century, what did we achieve? Well Fox changed (the logo if nothing else) from 20th to 21st 2001 Wikipedia and iPod launched, World Trade Centre demolished (by uncertain contractor). 2002 The discovery of Quoaoar leads to Pluto being declassified as a planet 2003 Facebook launched 2004 Those robots land on Mars, Indian Ocean earthquake / tsunami 2005 Instructables launched YouTube launched, New Orleans drowns. Chas & Dave play the Holmfirth Picturedrome (img) 2006 (for the mathematicians) the Poincare conjecture is proven (right word?) MySpace launched (subsequently bought by Murdoch at what was definately much more than it's worth) 2008 LHC starts up 2009 LHC starts up again, Moon "bombed" What events the last 10 years mean something to you? *the basis of the list came from New Scientist No2739/40/41

My boyfriend is wanting to put blue LEDS into his drums and under his cymbals. For right now I think he just wants them on steady. But eventually I'm thinking he'll want the ones inside his drums to come on when he hits the drum, so a way to trigger those to do that would also be good. Right now I was looking at the single light LEDs that they actually have to put on your car, these of course run off your car battery, so would also need a way to convert them to run on regular AC from house outlet. Any advice on this would be great. Any ideas and tips would be welcome. I'm a power novice so any detailed information ie(brands, stores, etc) would be welcome also. I'm so glad I found this forum. If anyone is interested you can find my guys band on MySpace, their name is Desidero. Thanks for any help in advance.

My computer teacher gave us a challenge: our school used to have filters on most of it's computers, but they were taken down and replaced with something else. As a challenge, our computer teacher re-installed it on some computers and told us to try to get through it. I have had little success, my most promising moment being with a glitch in Firefox, that soon fixed itself and ruined my only gateway. To win the challenge, You have to get onto Facebook, myspace, and twitter, all of which are on the blacklist. Once there, you must post into a specific profile. You must do this three separate times, to illustrate that it can be done more than once. I know it is possible, because two other kids in the class have managed it, but I simply have no idea. The program is Iboss Webfilter by Phantom Technologies, and all of our computers are pretty new Macs. We have access on our computers to Firefox, Safari, Seamonkey, Camino, and Omniweb browsers. All proxy websites are blocked by the webfilter program. All firefox abilities are enabled though. Any and all suggestions or help is appreciated, If we pass the challenge, we get an automatic 100% in the class, because we have probably the coolest computer teacher ever. If anyone can give me a good solution that works, they get a patch!

The big list of things that I hate (inspired off of Keith Kid's "50 things that I hate"): - Waking up at 7:00 AM - Mom hating rap - Going to school - Nobody seeing how awesome Maddox is - little computer time - even less time to play with knex - even less knex to play with (well, I don't think this applies anymore, thanks to berkin.) - Mom - Dad - Pep rallies - Football games - Wait, I think its all sports on TV. - Rain - The 80's (It has a weird relation to pep rallies) - The fact that everything on TV sucks - My uncle never coming over anymore - Foreign languages (Ironically, I am half asian) - People asking me to speak Chinese - The fact that I left KI off this list. (yes, this is a joke) - The Jonas brothers - Oh wait a minute, I think it's everyone who works for Disney, not just the fail bros - Halloween - Mondays - The fact that I sweat too much. - The fact that I am bored - Myspace - Facebook - Twitter - The fact that Biggie and 2pac are dead - The fact that I don't have an xbox to play halo on. - Mom threatening to cut my internet off - Cops. - School - The fact that half the stuff people tell me is stuff that I don't give a crap about. - Dogs and dog owners. - The fact that I don't have money to make my own site where I can post this list. Now that I got that out of my chest....

---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- PLEASE READ THIS THREAD!!!! ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- With the New Year comes New Year's Resolutions, and one of my on-going resolutions is to improve my photography skills. I have a hunch I'm not the only one who wants to be a better photographer, so I would like to pose a challenge in which I will also participate. The Challenge: Take a photograph everyday in January. The Reward: Bragging rights and a fancy patch to show everyone that you successfully completed the challenge. Simple, right? It doesn't have to be the best photo EVAR. It doesn't have to be beautifully lit. It doesn't need perfect composition. It just has to be the very simple act of picking up your camera, taking a shot, and posting it online. It can even be a photo you're going to use in an Instructable, a dual purpose photograph. The trick is that it has to be done every day. No old photos. No rehashes. This is for personal improvement and making photography a habit. Now I realize that not everyone will be able or willing to do this everyday because stuff happens. If you can take a photo for 20 days in January, you will get a patch. If you can manage to take a new photo every single day, all 31, in January, you will get a very special patch! If you would like to participate in this challenge, leave a reply to this topic saying that you accept the challenge. As you submit your photos, reply to your original acceptance reply. This will keep things a bit tidier, and you will be able to see your accomplishments altogether. There's a great deal of satisfaction in seeing a big chunk of what you've done and feeling motivated to do more. If you would like to see an example of how to submit photos for the challenge, please look for my acceptance comment on this topic and how I reply to that comment with photos I am submitting. Alternatively, you can submit links to images on your Flickr, Picasa, DeviantArt, and other image sharing services. This will save on bandwidth usage on Instructables. Please do not submit links to private accounts such as Facebook and Myspace. The images must be publicly viewable without requiring a linked account. There are some mighty fine Instructables on photography, so you might want to take a look around. Hopefully, by taking part in this challenge, you will not only improve your photography skills but your Instructables as well. You might even be motivated to post an Instructable about photography in January! If you would like to participate in a much larger challenge, check out Project365. So here's to a Happy (and productive) New Year!

I've been spending lots of time surfing the web recently trying to learn new things and to apply that knowledge to the various projects I have going at any given time. Lately I've been spending quite a bit of time scanning through various Linux forums and at Instructables.com. I was thinking about how the Internet has changed into something really amazing. It has become a medium of great synergy, where people can work together to accomplish things much greater than they could alone, or even in organizations of various sizes that have existed throughout human history. I am truly impressed by the synergy that has developed on the web, and wanted to develop some way of directing those energies towards a positive end. I was trying to think of something useful when I realized I shouldn't be working alone to develop this, it should be brainstormed by the Internet community. I realized that it would be hard to agree upon a direction to take, since everyone has their own concepts of what issues are most pressing, and since there is such strong disagreement about what can be done to solve those problems. I thought there would need to be a lot of dialogue, a sharing of information, and much deliberation before a plan could be reached. Then I realized that that should be the plan: education. If people could come together at a website laid out similarly to a social networking site and share information the oblique benefits would be enormous. I realize there are already sites like this. Wikipedia is fantastic. But there is only so much knowledge you can gain from reading information on a page. I was thinking this online learning institution could use tools employed by higher education already. It could have rooms where people could meet and have live chats, video, and shared presentations. Instructors could develop class pages in a simple GUI layout similar to Myspace with course information, forums, and feedback. We could even have tiered learning where an instructor requires verification that a student has sufficent skill in prerequisite classes before moving on. This could be a place where experts in various fields could come together to discuss their fields and continue to progress as well as place where curious minds could find help. Students in traditional universities could use it as a study guide to help in their course work. Of course, this would require that people with knowledge in their field donate their energies, but I don't think this is asking too much. If many people just donate a little bit of time it would have a huge impact. By working together the cost for any one person would be small, while the benefit to every single person would be enormous. I intend to pursue this vision, but I cannot do it alone. The obvious first step will be to start developing a website with a forum. I'll start working on this. If anyone has any suggestions or wants to help, please let me know.
