Is there a newsletter archive? And if you are not subscribed to the newsletter can you still be featured in it? And the last one, if one of the moderators put your 'ible in a newsletter how can you tell if you are in it or not?

Newsletter links and sign-up for newsletter overlay

Hi, last time I clicked on a link in a newsletter I got a new browser tab with the article I clicked on - so far so good. But then an overlay appeared asking me to join up for the newsletter, which I obviously already have. Please consider marking the links in your newsletter with a flag, that a clicked link will suppress the newsletter overlay.

no possibility to scroll down in the last two newsletters.

I have a problem with your last two newsletters. I can't scroll through the newsletter. The older newsletters do not have this problem. If I save the newsletter e-mail as an html page, I can scroll through it with the cursor keys, not with the mouse because there is no scrollbar... Maybe a CSS error?

Problem with newsletter

I just went to check the Instructables newsletter, and realized that there seemed to be a bug in the naming for one of the featured Instructables (the homemade engagement ring mis-named optimus prime costume). Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed this?

What happened to today's (May 21st) newsletter?

I think I'm going mad. This afternoon (local dutch time) I got the I'bles newsletter. I'm sure of that, because it featured a bracelet by emilyvanleemput. So I dropped her a congrats-note. She never got the newsletter, and I can't find it anywhere. What went wrong?!

Editor's Picks Links not functioning in the Newsletter

You must have changed something because this always worked before. Starting with the Feb 11 emailed Newsletter and also evident in todays, the link for the initial Featured item works but all the ones below in "Editors Picks" do not function.    When mousing over the pictures, the link is displayed in Featured instructable, but not with the ones below. I am using the Microsoft Outlook to read emails. DGW

Can't open newsletter

I'm having a very strange problem with the Instructables newsletter. Starting a month or two ago, the newsletter arrives in my inbox (I use webmail from my ISP, Shaw Cable), but I am unable to open the message. Normally I just click on the message and it opens, but when I click on the Instructables message nothing visible happens.I normally use Firefox 3. Today I tried it using IE 8 and got a message saying that some of the content would be delivered using a non https connection, blah blah blah. I said go ahead anyway, and the message opened, but none of the images displayed. So, it appears to be related to some setting in Firefox, or perhaps some javascript thing that works in IE but not firefox, but I can't figure it out. Can you give me any tips that might help me get it working in Firefox? Thanks,Steve

Where's the newsletter gone?

I've just noticed that the newsletter signup box, which used to be at the bottom of every page, has vanished. Was that an oversight in the update, or is the newsletter being quietly retired?

How to change or cancel your Instructables newsletter subscription

The Instructables newsletter and the Instructables website are, unfortunately, different systems.  So, updating your email address on Instructables.com doesn't currently change your newsletter settings.  Until we get this properly linked up, use this workaround.  Cancel your current newsletter subscription by clicking the "Update Profile / Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the newsletter.  Then, resubscribe with your new email address using the newsletter form at the bottom of Instructables.com pages.

Newsletter patch never received!

Hello! My Instructable was featured in the April 7th newsletter under a modified name (Look for "Portable Rickroll") but I never received a newsletter patch! I know that this is kind of ego centric but could somebody see if I was supposed to get a patch? I really like patches! They are like achievements for Instructables.com! Many Thanks, -XtremD

Moving on though, I went through forums and found a spot that says archived newsletters, ah-ha! thought found it, I was wrong.  Someone want to point out where to look, thanks!

Newsletters arriving daily rather than weekly

I recently (a couple of weeks ago or so) opted to receive the Instructables newsletter on a weekly basis rather than every day. Unfortunately, I'm still receiving daily copies, despite my email settings being set to weekly (which I double-checked). Any ideas?

Newsletter Links not working.

In the  instructables newsletters I receive, links for the initial Featured item work but all the other links in "Editors Picks" do not function. (It was working before?) I have Windows 10 64 bit. I am using Firefox 44.0.02 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 to read emails. To view the instructables that interest me I have to do a  search on the website it is annoying.   edmond

What are the criteria for the choice of the instructables that will appear in the newsletter? I have four instructables published that never appeared there. There are a lot of others instructables that appear repeatedly. Please, let us know the criteria used to elect them. Thanks.

Does my pc have a virus or is the instructables email newsletter infected??

When I click on some items in the most recent two instructables email newsletters I get directed to pages for all sorts of spammy websites. Such as "Your computer is infected with a virus! click here to run a free virus check now" etc etc all sorts of junk. This only happens with the instructable email newsletter. Anyone know about this or what to do?

Can't click links in email newsletter

When clicking the links in the email newsletter, nothing happens.  No error message.  The only areas in the email that Outlook recognizes as "clickable" (i.e. where the pointer turns into a hand) are the arrow icons, but nothing happens when clicked I don't have this same problem with other emails.  My email client is Outlook 2013 on Windows 7 x64 and my default browser is the latest version of Firefox.  If I click "view in browser", it seems to work, but that opens the email in Internet Explorer. Thanks

URLs in newsletter for non-HTML readers

Hi, just thought you would like to know ... I receive the frequent Instructables newsletters.  However, I read mail in "mutt", a terminal-based text-only email program.  If I want to follow a link in a message, I cut-and-paste it from the terminal to a browser. The URLs in the Instructables newsletters are ludicrously long, which makes them a chore to cut-and-paste.  One I wanted to access today was 740 characters.  I don't know of any compelling reasons for a URL to be that long.  (I'm sure there are "reasons", I just suspect the same goals could be accomplished with URLs less than 100 characters long). I'm sure I'm in the extreme minority here, so I don't expect anyone to rush to fix this, but just thought you would like to know at least one newsletter recipient almost never follows the links it contains. Sorry if this was not the appropriate place to post this.  A quick scan of the site did not turn up a "feedback to Instructables" option. Thanks, Mark

New email newsletter format

I put this in "forums" and "Burning Questions" but I don't know if that's where it should go. Anyway, it's just a point of feedback about the new format in the weekly email newsletter: I don't care for it much. I liked the previous format where there were a dozen (? I think?) featured projects, and the contests listed at the bottom. This new format with only three or four projects, with big photos, is disappointing. I don't come visit the site itself nearly as often now. I did go in and change my preferences for categories, but it seems the newsletter is locked onto certain categories regardless what I signed up for. I much prefer having more featured projects to peruse, and most weeks one or more of them would get me to the site, and I'd spend more time after viewing the one, viewing more.  Just my one opinion.  threeoutside

The instructable newsletter via e-mail on Windows 7 with Windows live mail - no images, no links.

The instructable newsletter via e-mail works fine on Apple Mail on my Macs, but not on Windows 7 with Windows live mail - no images, no links.  What can I do to fix that?  I  have checked all the preferences (settings) and can't seem to find the problem.  No error message pops up, either.  I like using our little Toshiba Netbook to check my mail, and the Instructables e-mail is the only one that gives a problem. Actually, an error message does show up if I click on one of the links.  The link itself looks like this when I copy it to the clipboard: wlmailhtml:{9A62DA93-D7CD-479C-B7FD-C98967C8DBC0}mid://00001245/!x-usc:http://app.streamsend.com/c/16911231/440809/C7COdCu/Bfu4?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.instructables.com%2Fid%2FRepairing-Split-Wood%2F Any help given would be appreciated.  Thanks.
