I decided to make a comfort handle for my TNKIT round 2 entry, but I don't have any of those black wheels. I discovered you could do the same thing with green/black knex knobs. I have about 5 of these, and they make really comfy handles.

I got my laptop with a dead battery and I got my laptop from a liquidation sale, now my laptop use one of those battery packs that have a bunch of batteries the size of a AA. Their total voltage is around 14.4v as the battery pack says so, meaning each of the 8 batteries is about 1.8v. The batteries are lithium ion ones but I want to know if it would work to make a battery pack of my own out of alkaline batteries? I got a whole bunch from disposable cameras and want to use them. Now besides that the power adapter says it outputs 18.5v. So which one should I follow when making the battery pack? I will be hooking the alternative battery pack to the contacts the dead battery was so I guess I should make a battery pack around 14.4v. Any comments? Would this work?

Hello, My wife accidentally crashed her phone digitizer (Samsung Galaxy Core 2 (G355H)). Its was still working, but you know... Being the type of man which always desire to fix something - I put myself to that mission. So I bought a new digitizer from one of eBay sellers. And sadly after replacing... the new digitizer was not working at all. Bringing back the old crashed digitizer to test it - it was still working. Tried to update firmware. Still the same. So I decided that It was faulty and asked for seller to resend the item. The new digitizer (number 2) came. Still the same stuff :(. Started to google. Found the solution on the internet. I have to let the phone boot with the old digitizer, when the boot is complete, need to remove the lcd and digitizer, replaced with the new digitizer (the phone has to stay on). And after that connected back the lcd... and its works... but sadly (as the author of this solution) if I reboot the phone - will not work again. PLEASE... Show me the direction what I need to do or where to search the answer

Recently one of the plastic clips that connect the strap to the mask for my CPAP machine broke. They sell replacement clips for the heargear ( 8 bucks for 2 clips). My question is would it be cost effective to get replacement clips 3D printed, or am I better off just buying the replacement clips?

I have these old but in great shape head phones but the foam is kind of wearing out. I was wondering does any one has an idea as to what to use to replace those foam covers for headphones? Since those foam replacement covers are no where to be found here. Thanks.

Does anybody know an inexpensive way to replace the surface foil on an electric razor? I think it's called foil anyway; it's the metal part that contacts the skin and is a mesh of small holes for beard hair to pass through. The raw foil stock must be relatively cheap to fabricate; maybe there is a way to get a sheet of it and put it on the original frame from the shaver. Most replacements are almost the price of a whole new shaver. And I haven't even found a replacement for my modified, ancient Braun system 123. After the shaver died I resurrected it and made it solar powered by tearing out the charge circuitry and batteries and replacing them with two batteries and a diode that plugs into a small solar panel from a garden light. This worked perfectly for years until the foil wore through last week.

One day I brought my Arduino with the MakerShield to show it to some of my more "electronically-apt" friends. However, my other friends took it, (somehow) thought it was a BopIt, and started screwing around with it. Before I could do anything about it, they ripped off the potentiometer. I was wondering where I could find a replacement potentiometer.

The tarp on my 5-year-old round-top ShelterLogic shed ripped off. I would like to know how I could put wood on the exterior rather than buying a replacement tarp. I do not want to actually "build" a shed due to zoning laws and such. My thought was to attach C-clamps but unsure if this would work. Any ideas out there??? Thanks.

Along with other minor changes to my bicycle, I really (really) want to turn my bike into a tricycle. I figure having one front wheel and two back wheels would be the best (and by best, I mean simplest) arrangement. I'm also guessing that it would be fairly easy and perhaps weld-free. I want to get metal tubing/a metal rod that is the same size as my back axle, have it be about 4 feet long, and place two wheels on either side. The gears would be located in the same spot they were, just attached to the axle and not the wheel. I don't know how thick my axle is, but I can figure that out - the problem is, will the axle hold my weight? I plan on also loading some cargo (add, say, 50 pounds). I don't think the cost would be too much (over $50?) and should I need to weld something, my brother might still be able to do it. Do y'all think this would work? Would the axle hold 250 pounds of weight? If so, the axle could be threaded on the ends so as to keep the wheels in place, right? Thanks!

I have laptop with a dying seagate drive, and before it dies completely, I got a hitachi drive as a replacement. My question is, how can I copy the disk exactly onto the new drive, keeping all files and programs intact so I don't have to re-install windows. I'm guessing I can't just copy and pasts, but maybe using xcopy? I have plenty of other computers and cables to use for transferring if needed.

Hello, On the second pot of coffee the handle broke, right at the handle pinning hole. ;( I've attached some picts. I don't have either 3D printing or CNC fabbing tools, but have saved this pot for 4 years hoping to resurrect it. I'd love to redesign a better /replacement one, which wouldn't break, and be cool to the touch. If anyone knows where to go or is interested in trying out a new process etc. I'm up for that! I could 3D scan w/ one of my tools, I think, although, I 'believe' this is more for 3D art vs. 3D CAD accuracy. If accessing a maker community locally makes the most since, I'm in the Raliegh-Durham area of NC. Thank you instructables community for any guidance, help or where I would I go to collaborate repairing this. kind regards,

Should I stick to Makita HandBook for Cordless 18v LXT stating "Only use Makita Batteries and Charger", or go for the replacements? Same goes for "StepDown Transformers [220v to 110v] can harm tools etc...etc..." I can dig the reason if it where for corded tools, but am I really jeopardizing my DC18RC 110v? Which Replacement Batteries Do You Recommend? Does it goes the same way for such rechargeable batteries (and chargers) that are made in China, that as the description specifies, made from China, so don't expect much?

I have an epi LP jr. and i'm trying to take out the humbucker for replacement, i have the soldering gun an everything, i just need someone to show me how to take it out. i've seen vids, but they're not elaborate enough, and don't show enough deatil, could someone help me please?!
I was meaning to post this sooner but completely forgot. Anyway, If you don't already know, Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock for the Wii has a disk flaw. The flaw makes the sound in mono instead of the Dobly Digital Surround Sound that is advertised on the box. Activision will replace it for free though. The way you can tell if you have a flawed version of the disk is if you look right above the Activision logo and if theres a little white star there or not. If there is one you have the new version and don't need a replacement. If not you can go here, fill out the form and then they will send you an envelope for you to put your old one in and send back and then finally you get sent a new version. I just thought I'd let you know. Good Luck!--Note-- If you send them a disk thats anything other than the old version of the Wii GH3 game they won't send anything back.
